Chinese ban the sale of Zeekr cars to Russia 16:15

Chinese car dealers of the Zeekr brand received an official letter stating that the sale of premium cars to Russia is completely banned. In this respect reports Portal “Avtovzglyad”, referring to the founder of the new car auction CarClick.ru Sergei Pigolkin. According to him, the automaker did not comment on his actions.

“Now, of course, dealers who have money will stock it. Maybe this is needed to increase sales. The Chinese have already observed this – for example, with the release of the updated Voyah Free last year, a ban was also introduced on the supply of cars from China. Allegedly, such a purchased car in Russia would be a “brick”, recalled Sergei Pigolkin.

Zeekr is a Chinese premium electric vehicle brand that is a division of Geely. Production of Zeekr electric vehicles started in October 2021. The cars appeared on the Russian market in 2023. These are the Zeekr X crossover, Zeekr 001 sports car and Zeekr 009 minivan.

The Zeekr X model was introduced in China in April 2023. The rear-wheel drive version is equipped with an electric motor producing 272 hp. It has a power reserve of 560 km and reaches 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. The four-wheel drive version has two engines with a total power of 428 hp, acceleration in 3.7 seconds and a range of 512 km.

The sports electric car Zeekr 001 has electric motor power from 272 to 1125 hp and an acceleration time of 6.9 to 2.7 seconds to 100 km/h.

Zeekr 009 is the fastest minivan in the world. The four-wheel drive version reaches 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Engine power is 544 hp.
