“In April this year, 147,008 new vehicles (passenger cars and light commercial vehicles) were registered on the Russian automobile market, of which 11% were cars imported through parallel imports. Their shares have decreased in the last few months; “It reached 16% in February, 15% in March and already 11% in April.”
At the same time, the total number of registrations of cars imported into the country through alternative channels decreased by a third in April compared to March.

The department stated that the sales volume in 2026 will correspond to the average annual sales volume in 2015-2021. The market will gradually grow by 1% per year from 2027. Thus, by 2030, the Russian automobile market will reach 1.8 million cars per year, and by 2035, sales volume will reach 1.9 million cars per year.
