“Every taxi driver must undergo a medical examination and technical inspection of the vehicle before setting off. Poor health or car breakdown while driving often causes accidents. “Improved controls help drivers be more responsible, making passengers’ journeys more comfortable and safer,” explained Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov.
Enhanced inspections will take place from May 9 to May 12. It was noted that the number of special points will be increased throughout the capital to keep them. If it turns out that the taxi driver did not undergo a medical examination before starting work or did not carry out a technical inspection of the vehicle, his car may be sent to a special parking lot.
