Investigators stopped the car at the entrance to Orenburg on the M-5 highway. A 36-year-old foreign citizen was driving the car. While checking the car using the Ministry of Internal Affairs database, it turned out that the Dodge was wanted. The owner of the vehicle was later taken to the police.
“According to his words, it was found that he bought this car for 13 million rubles in February 2024 from his friend, who bought it in 2022 on the territory of another foreign state,” the traffic police said in a statement.
Before the investigation was completed, the man’s car was seized and placed in a private parking lot.
