It is planned to equip the bicycles of couriers in Moscow with license plates. This will allow cameras to detect violations. In this respect reports RIA Novosti cites Polina Stasiuk, head of new mobility projects of the capital’s transport department.
“The same thing that is currently seen on scooters (license plates) should also appear on courier bikes in the near future because this will allow cameras to automatically detect these violations,” Stasiuk said.
According to him, information about those who violate the rules will first be transferred to their employers. In the future it will be possible to manage this through the traffic police.
Electric scooters in 2024 seen license plates similar to those issued for cars. They are needed so that CCTV cameras can automatically record violations by electric vehicle users.
The plate has a rectangular shape. Its width does not exceed the width of the scooter. The license plate is attached to the vehicle’s steering column. It depicts three letters and three numbers in two rows. The signs are made of flexible, wear-resistant plastic.
Now the penalty for any scooter violation is 800 rubles. And if the user is drunk – 1500 rubles.
