The German company BMW has opened a car driving school called Safety Vehicle Training School. In this respect reports Carscoops portal.
BMW driving school offers two courses. The first lasts two days and includes lessons on how to operate an armored vehicle. Drivers will be introduced to the basics of physics and driving techniques, and will also be told how to protect passengers in emergency situations. You will also be taught how to navigate the forest road at night and how to behave in case of a real explosion. Drivers are promised to be taught various maneuvers, such as police U-turns, which are often used in chase scenes in movies.
The second course aims to improve the skills acquired in the first. It aims to train drivers in driving under fire (the course includes the use of pyrotechnics). Students will also role-play night ambush scenarios.
The school itself is located on an abandoned airstrip near Berlin. The training will be carried out on the armored BMW 7 Series, i7 Protection and BMW X5 Protection VR6. It is stated that they are one ton heavier than normal ones.
This is before BMW presented conceptual electric crossover Neue Klasse X. Production of the serial version of this car will start in 2025 at a factory in Hungary. The all-electric architecture allows the model to have a long wheelbase and short overhangs, providing the driver and passengers with the maximum possible space. The crossover also has classic BMW proportions.
Previously Kia showed New sedan without door handles.
