Due to the tightening of the customs clearance regime for cars, it will become unprofitable to import premium electric cars from China, as well as the popular Geely Monjaro crossovers. Dmitry Rogov, founder of the RogovMobil company, told socialbites.ca about this.
“According to current exchange rates, you can bring a “gray” Geely Monjaro directly from China, passing it directly through customs, it will cost about 4.4 million rubles, including customs duties and disposal fees. And the same car supplied by the company itself can be purchased from an official dealer for 4.8 million rubles. Is it worth buying a “gray” car to get a 10% benefit in price? “No, I’m sure,” Rogov told socialbites.ca.
According to him, unofficial imports into Russia of Chinese premium electric cars (Zekr, Lynk&Co, Li Auto), which are not officially represented in Russia, are also losing relevance.
“If the Li L9 could be bought for 65 thousand dollars, now it will cost 90 thousand dollars, and its direct competitors will be the three-year-old Mercedes-Benz GLS and the BMW X7 from Korea,” Rogov said.
It was previously known what malfunctions the car had should eliminate after winter.
