On the evening of June 19, near house 6 in the village of Razvilka, Leninsky district, a PAZ driver collided with an 11-year-old girl who was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. As a result of her injuries, the girl died and the driver fled.
In the pursuit, the officers managed to detain the suspect in Moscow at the entrance to one of the houses on Lipetskaya Street. The driver was a local resident born in 1981.
Law enforcement officers have opened a criminal case for a crime under Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The penalty under this article is from five to twelve years imprisonment.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, it is not known whether the bus driver was drunk.
