The head of AvtoVAZ said when Lada cars on the new platform will appear

“Our long-term task is to create a new, modern, purely Russian vehicle platform, to ensure its deep localization, both in terms of electronic equipment and automatic transmissions, engines and other elements. Even if there are some developments based on the Lada Vesta platform, we assume that it will take at least 3-4 years before we start production of cars on the Lada platform, ”said Maxim Sokolov.

According to the top manager, in 2022 AvtoVAZ will send 1 billion rubles. For scientific and design work. Some of these funds will be used to develop a new platform for Lada cars.
