The report states that the national project concept was discussed at a meeting chaired by the first vice president of the government. It is stated that two projects are currently being implemented in the field of transportation: “Safe, quality roads” and “Comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of the highway infrastructure.” These should be completed this year and will be replaced by the national “Transport” project.
“The new national project is actually the first attempt to create a system for planning and implementing the development of transport infrastructure in our country,” the Secretariat quotes Belousov as saying.
Before that, Russian Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev statedthat the new national project “Transportation” is designed until 2030.
