Deep localization of electronic automobile components in the Russian Federation will begin in 2024-2025. In this respect reports TASS, citing Vasily Shpak, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
“In 2024-2025, a gradual transition to deep localization of auto electronics at the level of electronic components is planned. Shpak noted that the process of getting new electronic components onto automakers’ conveyors as part of electronic units takes an average of two to three years.
According to him, Russia will begin mass import substitution of components such as navigation modules, resistors, capacitors and connectors, as well as printed circuit boards in the near future.

A new workshop with an automatic production line was built for the production of ABS and ESP blocks. The license for deep localization of ABS and ESP systems will allow the production of all components that make up them to be established in Russia. The annual capacity of the production line for the production of ABS and ESP will be 850 thousand.
Previously reportedthat the former Russian Hyundai plant could assemble 70 thousand cars from the remaining spare parts.
