Automobile concern Honda Motor has decided to recall more than 1 million vehicles sold in the domestic market due to problems with the fuel system. In this respect reports TASS, citing the Mainichi newspaper.
It was recorded that a total of 1.13 million vehicles from 25 different models sold between June 2017 and September 2020 were subject to recall. Problems with the fuel pump can cause the engine to shut down randomly.
Japan’s Ministry of Transport is aware of 394 cases of arbitrary engine shutdowns in these models to date, but no accidents related to this malfunction have been reported.
It happened before that knownIt was stated that Toyota Motor will recall 570 thousand vehicles from the Chinese market for repairs. The reason for the recall campaign was a malfunction in the fuel system.
In Toyota Corolla vehicles produced between 2019 and 2023, as well as Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX vehicles produced between 2018 and 2022, cracks may occur in the fuel pump due to an internal malfunction. This may cause fuel leakage. Contact with external fire sources may pose a risk of fire in the vehicle.
