“On the first day of winter in Ulan-Ude, a vehicle owner placed an electric heater under the hood of the vehicle to prevent it from freezing during the night. The fire started in the hood where the device was installed, the department said in a statement.
Fire crews came to the fire scene and extinguished the flames. In the images taken after the fire, it can be seen that the engine part of the car was burned, the paint on the side door was burned, and the windshield and side windows were cracked. A single-burner electric household stove and the electrical cables leading to it were found here.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic warned drivers not to use homemade devices and household appliances such as electric stoves, hair dryers and soldering irons to heat their vehicles.
