The first anti-sanction dump truck of the K5 generation was assembled at the KamAZ plant. Production of these heavy trucks was stopped for a year, reported press service of the automobile giant.
The three-axle KAMAZ-6595 is equipped with a more powerful P6 engine producing 460 hp. The company said that the five-leaf spring in the front suspension provides higher axle load, the fuel tank volume has been increased to 500 liters and the body volume has been increased to 20 tons. The updated model features a three-piece stamped steel bumper at the front and a reinforced roll bar at the rear, as well as a metal mesh that protects the headlights and radiator from stones.
The dump truck’s gearbox is equipped with local components; fuel equipment, pneumatic brakes and electric power steering were replaced. New manufacturers equipped the 6595 cabin with pedal housing, mirrors and windshield. The company emphasized that there are more components on the chassis that are not afraid of sanctions. After the dump truck is sent to the scientific and technical center, it will undergo a series of tests, and the plant is also working on updated four-axle heavy-duty trucks with index 65951.
