Vehicle loan issuance doubled in Russia 15:30

In September 2023, the new and second-hand car loan market grew in quantitative and monetary terms. In this respect reports analytical agency “Avtostat”.

Compared to the same period last year, the issuance of vehicle loans for new cars doubled in units and increased by 2.6 times in rubles; For used cars, it increased by 31% in units and 66% in rubles.

At the same time, the figures for September turned out to be lower than for August (1% in units and -2% in rubles for new cars; 10% in units and -11% in rubles for used cars). According to Autostat general director Sergei Udalov, this is due to the stabilization of the market in the autumn after large imports of cars through parallel imports in July, as well as an increase in recycling collection and restrictions on imports from Japan.

Analysts noted that in the nine months of this year, the number of vehicle loans issued for new cars increased by 73 percent and in cash by 98 percent (70 percent and 116 percent respectively for second-hand cars).

Previously AvtoVAZ said About the availability of Lada cars at factory prices.
