The increase in the recycling fee had almost no impact on the amount of budget funds allocated to support the automotive sector in 2024. The exception was the preferential car loan program, whose budget almost doubled. reports Kommersant’s newspaper.
Thanks to the increase in recycling collection rates in 2024, budget revenues from mechanical engineering and the automotive industry will increase by 306.8 billion rubles (almost 1 trillion rubles). Indexation of the recycling fee creates additional funds to support mechanical engineering, but in next year’s budget the changes are reflected only in the preferential car loan program – 12.3 billion rubles are allocated for it, compared to 5 billion rubles in the current year, the note says. In 2022, the program’s budget amounted to 10.2 billion rubles, and in 2021 about 13 billion rubles.
According to the draft budget, 2 billion rubles were allocated for subsidies of rental programs for special equipment and cars, compared to 1.3 billion and 2 billion rubles this year, respectively (in the summer it was known that there was an increase in financing of car rentals 7.8 billion rubles). The budget of the gas engine technology program for the next year has been reduced to 2.95 billion rubles (in recent years it was about 3.3 billion rubles). At the same time, subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery under the program will remain within 2 billion rubles (in 2022 – 8 billion rubles).
According to this data According to the results of VTB Bank for January-August, more than 51 percent of all new cars in Russia were purchased by people using auto loans. Analysts believe that the auto loan segment can show historic results – about 1.5 trillion rubles in sales.
