The Russian government and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) need to monitor the level of price increases at gas stations. In this respect reports RIA Novosti cites Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

“It is necessary to control price levels at gas stations, including the Federal Antimonopoly Service, because when stock prices fall, this should be reflected in independent gas stations,” he said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Before that Vladimir Putin statedIt was stated that measures were taken to stabilize fuel prices in Russia, but retail gasoline prices continued to increase. At the same time, he emphasized that the end consumer is not interested in why this happens, but in this case the result is important.
