Experts of the American automotive online service Edmunds have compiled a rating of the worst cars of all time.
So, in tenth place is the 1979 diesel Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. The car had a huge list of problems with the powertrain, as a result of which the model was quickly discontinued. In ninth place is the Trabant, produced in Germany from 1957 to 1962. The body of this car was plastic and fragile, and the model itself was expensive for buyers. In addition, the vehicle did not exceed 100 km / h.
Cadillac Cimarron and Edsel Corsair models take the eighth and seventh place in the ranking. Both cars were of low quality and at a very high price. The sixth place is occupied by the Saturn Ion, whose gearbox often fails. In addition, more than 30 accidents occurred, in which 13 people died, due to the failure of the ignition switch.
Fifth and fourth place are Chevrolet Vega and Yugo. The first was distinguished by an unreliable engine and a rapidly rusting body, and the second by a cramped interior and the absence of any security systems.
Third place goes to the BMW Isetta. This tricycle is equipped with a fabric sunroof and a single door. Also, it had no reverse gear. In second place is the second generation Ford Mustang. According to buyers, the car was equipped with a weak engine, which did not fit into the image of a sports car.
The Pontiac Aztec model took the first place. According to Edmunds, the car featured poor design, poor build quality and a high price tag.
