AvtoVAZ sold the unfinished JV Systems plant in Togliatti SEZ, where it is planned to start body production for the Chevrolet Niva, informs Interfax agency referring to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
The note says that on March 24, Togliatti Invest LLC, with a registered capital of 10 thousand rubles, registered in Togliatti, at the end of April, took control of a 100% stake in JV Systems LLC.
The co-owners of the acquiring company are Ilya Pronin (90%) and Olga Gudkova (10%). Pronin heads the scientific and educational center Biryuch, founded by the EFKO group in the Belgorod region. Until 2019, Gudkova was a co-owner of a 40% stake in the EFKO oil and fat plant in the Voronezh region (LLC Evdakovo). Earlier it was noted that the EFKO structure – Transport of the Future LLC – purchased more than 40 square meters of space in Togliatti SEZ. km for the construction of a factory for the production of unmanned aerial systems.
The unfinished plant for welding car bodies for the Chevrolet Niva previously belonged to the GM-AvtoVAZ joint venture, its construction began in 2013. The production project was curtailed after the American General Motors left the Russian Federation. In 2019, AvtoVAZ bought a 50% stake in the joint venture from GM and changed its name to JSC Lada West Togliatti. The production of the Chevrolet Niva was transferred to the main site of AvtoVAZ, the model was renamed Lada Niva Travel.
