Toyota has patented a new paint technology. The coating is like a film. The top layer of paint is easy to remove after damage or aging.
Such a coating suggests itself for off-road vehicles, because with it it is possible to safely go off-road without fear of paint damage. And after removing the top layer, the car looks like new again.
The patent describes the technology: first, as now, a primer, then the first coat of paint, then the second with a coating that itself looks like a vinyl film.
There can be several such layers with a film. Because each layer can dry, they do not stick together and remain easily removable. But sustainable at the same time.
