The number of original auto parts on the Russian market is declining and by the end of March their share of 30% (which was observed at the beginning of the year) will be reduced to 20% (one fifth), experts from the Autodoc.ru- marketplace warning. This is due to problems with logistics and sanctions, which have led some automakers to suspend deliveries of both cars and spare parts to Russia.
The most acute shortage of original spare parts will affect the owners of car brands:
- mercedes benz
- land rover
Dealers of these brands are increasingly buying non-genuine spare parts and consumables because the original is not available.
Vladislav Solovyov, President of the Autodoc.ru marketplace:
— Since the end of February, the total number of requests to our marketplace has tripled. This is due to the fact that official dealer networks are starting to experience difficulties in obtaining original spare parts due to logistical problems, as well as the fact that a number of car manufacturers have stopped their activities in Russia. The owners of such machines are trying to find analogues of original parts through the Internet. At the same time, the increased demand for spare parts is influenced by the coming spring season and by the desire of car owners against the background of a general price increase to service their cars.
The current situation plays into the hands of spare parts manufacturers from countries whose governments have not joined the sanctions. First of all, this is South Korea and companies like Mando, Kortex, Sangsin, CTR. As well as Russian companies placing orders for the production of spare parts in Asian factories. These are Patron, Linx, Stellox and others. They are actively increasing their presence in the Russian market, which means that we are not threatened with a total shortage of spare parts.
