School buses are allowed to travel for free on toll roads. The standard will apply to all buses transporting organized groups of children, for example to competitions or excursions, to holiday camps, said Duma chairman Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to the document, the standard will take effect on September 1, 2023.

According to the chairman of the State Duma, an important result of such a decision will be the opportunity to save municipal and school budgets, as well as parents’ money. In addition, children can drive quickly and without traffic jams on toll roads with a high level of comfort and safety, which means they will be less tired, Volodin emphasizes.
Now regular buses, special services cars and postal services are exempt from paying for toll roads.
