After being released from a German concentration camp in 1945, he graduated from a driving school, then a technical school, and, having received a diploma from the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute, came to the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant for distribution. He worked in the business for 47 years and was engaged in automobile design.
Egor Romanovich Varchenko was awarded the major silver and minor bronze medals of the VDNKh of the USSR for the development of UAZ-450 trucks. Serial production of the “nuts” is currently underway, but with other serial numbers. At the same time, UAZ will not take this model off the assembly line.
