The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation plans to make changes to the requirements for the production of cars in the Russian Federation in the future. They will be tightened after June 1, the date when simplified rules for their production in the country expire, the ministry said.
The government of the Russian Federation on Tuesday extended the simplified rules for the production of cars in the Russian Federation until June 1, 2023.

Earlier, Russian car manufacturers asked for an extension of the simplified rules until mid-2024.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce complied with the requests, but only extended the “simplification” until June 1, 2023 – by Resolution No. 855.
Simplified requirements allow ABS and ESP not to be installed on new cars, and the ERA-GLONASS system may not have automatic control functions. It is also allowed to put engines with low environmental friendliness on cars.
