AvtoVAZ announced who they consider their competitor in the Russian market – this is the Chinese company Chery. According to Dmitry Kostromin, vice president of sales and marketing of AVTOVAZ, the domestic car plant is not afraid of rivals, but only welcomes it, as it stimulates its work.
“Geely is steadily increasing production in Belarus and Haval in the Tula region. If we talk about the share of the “Chinese” in the Russian market, we consider our competitor the Chery brand, which controls several segments at once, including niche and even luxury” – noted the top manager of AVTOVAZ.

But the Moskvich 3 model, which the revived Moscow car plant began to produce on the basis of the Chinese JAC, cannot compete with AvtoVAZ products, Kostromin believes.
