Insurers were given access to city cameras

In Kazan, an insurance company gained access to 3,000 city cameras. As part of the pilot project, AlfaStrakhovanie was able to study the accidents for which payments were required, using files. It also helped the insurance company identify staging accidents or resolve disputes between road accident participants. All this had an impact on the timing of the settlement of insured events.

“The experience of working with city cameras in Kazan can certainly be considered effective and positive. We reduced the period of settlement of events, even in difficult cases, to an average of 5 days, and also avoided many controversial situations because we had irrefutable evidence in our hands,” – said the director of the Kazan branch of the company Sergey Babushkin.

He is sure that such interaction is necessary for insurance companies. The widespread use of geographic information systems and 2GIS analytics in the future could help minimize errors when considering accident reports, as well as make work with clients in this part as transparent as possible, Babushkin noted.
