On January 5, the Chinese company BYD will introduce a new Yangwang SUV, which has no serial analogues.
Translated from Chinese, the name Yangwang translates as “look up”, but sounds like “Yangwang”.
On the teasers of the car, we see only the optics – headlights, lights on the heads of rearview mirrors and taillights. But quite a lot is already known about the SUV – there is even a price range.
The company recently released photos of a camouflaged prototype. This is a boxy SUV, very reminiscent of the Land Rover Defender, but with a futuristic touch.
The LED headlights look like a continuation of the grille pattern. Also visible are the high-mounted L-shaped taillights, LED strips on the mirror housings and a kind of “gills” on the boot windows.
The car also gets square wheel arches and a full-sized spare wheel that hangs from the tailgate and is hidden in an octagonal box.
Reportedly, the SUV will be equipped with four electric motors (one for each wheel). Also announced was a U-turn mode and a special mode that allows the car to hover.
BYD Yangwang costs 800,000 to 1,500,000 yuan, or 8.2 million to 15.4 million rubles.
