Nissan’s Russian assets were transferred to FSUE NAMI.
In fact, we are talking about a formality – the deal was closed, which became known in October.
An institution subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade became the owner of 100% of the authorized capital of the Nissan Manufacturing Rus plant in St. Petersburg.
Closing the deal will allow the St. Petersburg factory to maintain key competencies, production cycle and jobs, they say in NAMI. According to preliminary data, the company will produce Chinese cars.
In addition, NAMI became the owner of Nissan’s sales and marketing center in Moscow. It is known that the deal was made for symbolic cost and includes a buy-back option within 6 years – as in the case of Renault.
- Meanwhile, one of the Nissan models began to be imported into Russia again – under the parallel import scheme.
- “Behind the wheel” can be read in Odnoklassniki.
