New Muscovites are all looking forward to it, and insurers are no exception. As the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, recently said, the assembly of cars will begin this week.
Before the events, Rosgosstrakh specialists prepared and calculated the approximate cost of voluntary car insurance for new Muscovites.
According to information that appeared in the press, at the initial stage the plant will produce a copy of the Chinese compact crossover JAC JS4 under the Moskvich brand. This front-wheel drive car will receive three modifications – with an atmospheric engine with a capacity of 109 hp, with a turbo engine (150 hp) and with an electric motor (68 hp). Prices for new products of the capital car plant have not yet been announced, therefore, to calculate the cost of hull insurance, Rosgosstrakh insurers relied on the analogues of Chinese production available on our market and analysts’ assumptions.
As analogues, we considered such models as Chery Tiggo 4, Geely Coolray and Haval Jolion.
“We assumed that a variant with a weaker engine is offered for 1.6 million rubles, and a more powerful version and an electric version for 2 million rubles,” says Alexei Kasyanov, deputy head of the Auto Insurance Underwriting Department.
As a potential buyer, at the age of 30, they chose a conditional resident of the capital with 5 years of driving experience. With these parameters, the voluntary car insurance rate of the new Moskvich with full coverage – against theft and damage due to an accident, natural disasters and other troubles – will be 4.99% of the price for all three modifications.
