Lawsuit filed after traffic police inspector was killed while praying in Grozny 14:25

In the Chechen Republic, a criminal case was opened after the death of a traffic police inspector who was attacked with a knife by a local resident. About reported RIA Novosti is in the republican SUSK of the Russian Federation.

“The investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation launched a criminal case regarding the fact of the attack on a law enforcement officer (Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),” the ministry said.

Ramzan Kadyrov, ex-president of Chechnya declarationthat the perpetrator attacked the traffic police while praying. The police officer went to the mosque to perform ablution, where he was attacked with a knife by an unidentified person and beaten several times. The inspector died at the scene.

The ministry added that the perpetrator tried to escape by stealing a gun from the victim, resisting with arms while trying to detain him, and was eliminated.
