Updated Kia Seltos – what’s new, when to expect

The updated car was presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show kia Seltos. The styling is less gritty, with a larger tiger nose grille that can be fitted with Star Map-style LEDs, and below that is a new front bumper with larger air intakes for vertical fog lights.

The rear bumper is also new, as are the rear lights connected by a horizontal strip. The crossover also received new wheels and new body colors: Pluton Blue (conditional blue, photo), Fusion Black (black) and Valais Green (green).

A special version of the X-Line will also be offered, featuring a “bronze” grille, gloss black accents, a roof rack and exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior was considered the weak point of the Seltos and Kia decided to round it up as well. Engineers installed a new climate control panel with a 4.2-inch display, as well as two 10.25-inch screens – a digital instrument panel with a touchscreen infotainment system.

There are also new options such as an electrically operated tailgate and seat ventilation in the front.

Under the hood is the well-known 149 hp 2.0 liter four-cylinder. and 180 Nm, combined with a variat. This combination can be supplemented with an all-wheel drive system.

The 1.6-liter turbo engine has been upgraded. Now his power is not 177, but 198 horsepower. And most importantly, instead of a 7-speed dual-clutch robot, the engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic, which we hope is more advanced than the robot.

There are also several new and improved driver assistance systems: forward collision avoidance, pedestrian and cyclist detection, vehicle collision warnings in blind spots, speed limit warnings in effect on the road section, and several others.

Expected to be updated kia The Seltos will go on sale in the first half of 2023. Prices will be announced later.
