Relatively recently, changes have been made in Russia to the code of administrative offenses, which provide for the seizure of a car if the driver is repeatedly caught behind the wheel drunk. And this practice already exists: for the first time a car was seized from a resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
But not only driving under the influence can be the basis for the deprivation of both rights and a vehicle.
For example, a driver who drove through a red traffic light or exceeded the speed limit by more than 60 km/h is threatened with seizure.
In addition, such a punishment follows if the violation has occurred repeatedly and he was previously deprived of his rights.
