A new technology partner to set up production at the Mercedes plant could be identified as early as this year. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister – Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
“There is no final decision yet. But there are several ideas, including from the Moscow region and other companies interested in this site. I hope we can make a final decision before the end of the year.” he noticed.
Earlier, the German automaker announced its withdrawal from Russia and its intention to sell its company, including a factory in the Moscow region, to the Avtodom dealer.
The new owner will be able to attract other companies as production partners to organize joint production based on a factory in the Esipovo industrial park in the Moscow region.
