This lake is located in Rufford Mill Ford (Nottinghamshire, UK) and has become world famous thanks to the locals. Some try to conquer the puddle by car, others film it on their phone.
Flooding after rain in Nottinghamshire is not uncommon and the depth of this puddle reaches 46 centimeters. For many crossovers and especially SUVs this is not a problem, but cars often get water hammer in them.
A YouTuber named Tom Sunderland is constantly filming cars driving through Rufford Mill Ford. There are already more than 100 videos on his channel of local motorists trying their luck in a puddle.
For example, Sunderland’s latest video shows the sinking of a BMW 4 Series. The car’s engine had already cut off at the exit of the puddle, but the driver was still able to start it, likely causing further damage. There is also a blue Bentley Bentayga, which literally rams into the water, and a small Opel hatchback, which has caught a water hammer (by the way, you can hear our compatriots standing by the puddle – the man explains to the woman why white smoke suddenly poured out of Opel’s exhaust pipe).
Some drivers, who know how deep the puddle is and what fords their cars can cross, take great pleasure in the puddle, driving through it at high speed to splash on bystanders. But the cars of these jokers often come from bumpers and other parts.
