Ten years ago, Sacha Baron Cohen’s political satirical comedy The Dictator was released. The film depicts the life of Admiral General Aladin, a dictator from a fictional country called the Republic of Wadia, who owned a rather unusual SUV from the company Dartz.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the film’s release, the company has Dartz decided to release 10 cars that are similar to the car in the movie.
Three cars with a long name were produced for the recording of The Dictator Dartz prom source The Dictator aladeen Edition MXXIII. These cars were built on the basis of the Hummer H2.
The modern version of the car will be based on the Mercedes-Maybach GLS. Under the hood of the cars is a factory engine – a 4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, the power of which, thanks to improvements in hardware and software from Dartz, will be increased to 800 horsepower. and 1000Nm. Acceleration to “hundreds” takes about 3.8 seconds, and the maximum speed is 280 km / h.
But much more interesting is the body of the car, which has nothing to do with the body of the Mercedes-Maybach. The car will be fully armored and the outer parts of the body will be covered with real gold. The kit also includes a protective helmet for the passenger and a bulletproof umbrella made of alligator or python skin.
Dartz founder Leonard Yankelovich said that if the demand for the car is high, the company will produce more than 10 cars. I must say that the price of an armored car will be about 1 million dollars.
