Russia began receiving orders for the refreshed Lada Vesta as shipments to dealers commenced, according to AvtoVAZ. The model will be available in four body configurations: sedan, wagon (SW), sedan Cross, and SW Cross.
The price for the updated Vesta starts at 1.24 million rubles in the Comfort trim paired with a 90-horsepower engine. Initial configurations will offer two powerplants: 90 hp or 106 hp, both paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Production of versions with a 1.8-liter engine and a CVT is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2024.
The baseline equipment for the Vesta includes dual airbags, an ABS system, a steering column adjustable for height and reach, push-button ignition, power windows on all doors, electric heated exterior mirrors, climate control, a cooled glove box, and rear disc brakes, among other features.
Inside the updated Vesta, AvtoVAZ introduced new interior trims, added rear-door bottle holders, and created a dedicated pocket for a front passenger’s smartphone. Higher trim levels come with a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system featuring a 10-inch display.
Earlier information confirmed that production of the Lada X-Cross 5 began in Saint Petersburg at the former Nissan plant. The plan is to roll out two additional new models at the site over the next couple of years, expanding the lineup and manufacturing capabilities.
