AvtoVAZ confirmed the updated Lada Vesta, now offered with a 1.8-liter engine paired with aCVT, with production already underway in the first quarter of 2024 according to Motor.ru.
The new 1.8-liter powerplant delivers 122 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque. In the future, buyers can expect a Vesta Sport variant and a dual fuel version designed to run on gasoline and methane, expanding the lineup beyond the standard sedan.
Earlier disclosures by AvtoVAZ outlined the refreshed Lada Vesta with a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine available in two power outputs, 90 hp or 106 hp, paired with a six‑speed manual transmission. The price range at that time was reported to be from 1.24 million to 1.69 million rubles, depending on configuration.
The baseline equipment package was described as including front and rear LED lighting, dual airbags, a push‑button start system, power heated exterior mirrors, air conditioning with a cooled glove compartment, and rear disc brakes, among other features.
In another development, AvtoVAZ, together with its Chinese partner, announced during the SPIEF forum that a new conveyor line for assembling vehicles would be launched at a facility in St. Petersburg, signaling a deeper push into domestic production capacity.
