Analysts report that the average October prices stood at 23,761 rubles for all-season premium tires, 22,231 rubles for winter tires, and 25,321 rubles for summer tires. These figures reflect shifts in end-seller pricing and evolving demand patterns across the tire segment.
There have already been discussions about using summer tires into the autumn-winter period. Legally, continuing to run on summer tires into colder days can carry administrative penalties. Current regulations specify fines to address improper tire usage, underscoring the importance of aligning tire choice with prevailing temperatures. Industry guidance suggests switching to winter tires when daily air temperatures hover around +4 to +5 degrees Celsius to maintain grip and safety on affected road surfaces.
Yearly price growth for studless winter tires reached about 8 percent, averaging around 6,200 rubles. Concurrently, R17 tires show higher prices than last year, while models in the rarer R20 category can cost roughly 12,000 rubles more than a year ago. The overall rise in tire costs is linked to both higher wholesale pricing and persistent shifts in consumer demand that influence market structure and distribution channels.
