Livan X3 Pro Heads to Russia with May Shipments
The Chinese automotive group Livan has announced plans to start selling the X3 Pro crossover in Russia this May. The transition is tied to the company’s recent statements about shipments arranged through Chinese export channels and logistics partners, signaling a concerted push into the Russian market via cross-border freight routes.
Livan’s chief executive officer for the international division, Deng Xiaodan, confirmed that the compact gasoline-powered crossover has cleared the certification process in Russia. The first batch of X3 Pro models will depart from China to Russia by rail, with delivery scheduled for May. In addition to the X3 Pro, Livan indicated that another crossover and a sedan are undergoing certification, with Russian sales anticipated to begin in the second half of the year.
The Livan X3 Pro stands out in the lineup as the brand’s sole model equipped with an internal combustion engine. The vehicle’s exterior dimensions measure 4005 mm in length, 1760 mm in width, and 1575 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2480 mm. Built on the underpinnings of the Geely Vision X3 and Maple Leaf 30X platforms, the X3 Pro is powered by a 1.5-liter engine producing 113 horsepower. Transmission options include a five-speed manual or a CVT, and the model is front-wheel drive only. In China, the X3 Pro is priced from 49,900 to 67,900 yuan, roughly translating to 590,000 to 800,000 rubles depending on configuration and market adjustments.
Industry observers note that Livan’s entry into Russia aligns with broader trends of Chinese brand expansion into Eastern Europe and neighboring markets, leveraging existing regional networks and freight corridors.
