The Lipetsk Motorinvest facility is preparing to initiate production of the standout models in its i-Jet family, alongside the seven-seat crossover Evolute i-Space, with sales slated to begin in 2024 according to industry reports from Autostat.
The i-Jet lineup delivers impressive performance with an electric powertrain rated at up to 646 horsepower and torque around 940 Nm. Acceleration to 100 km/h occurs in roughly 3.7 to 4.0 seconds, depending on the chosen battery configuration. At launch, the crossover will be offered in two battery options: an 80 kWh pack providing an estimated WLTP range of about 430 kilometers, and a larger 90 kWh pack enabling around 530 kilometers on a single charge.
The Evolute i-Space utilizes a hybrid propulsion system that delivers 178 horsepower. Its traction battery can be replenished by a generator driven by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine. This setup allows the vehicle to run up to 87 kilometers on electric power alone, while the combined range with a full fuel tank and charged battery reaches about 1,150 kilometers.
Performance data places the i-Space from rest to 100 km/h in around 7.4 seconds. The interior offers three seating rows, with the rear row capable of two-way adjustment and the option to create a flat cargo floor by folding the third row down.
Current production in the Lipetsk region centers on Evolute electric models, including the i-Pro sedan, the i-Joy and i-Sky crossovers, and the i-Van minivan. This regional focus complements ongoing plans to expand the brand’s presence in the market.
Earlier statements indicated that in 2024 the Chinese automobile maker JAC Motors is planning to introduce four new models for sale within Russia, signaling broader collaboration and product diversification for the region’s evolving automotive landscape.
