Lada Largus cars from the latest batch assembled at the AvtoVAZ plant in Tolyatti are beginning to reach dealers. This development was reported by a major Russian newspaper, highlighting the ongoing rollout across showrooms.
At one car dealership, a five seat station wagon in the Comfort configuration with a 90 horsepower engine and a manual gearbox is priced at 1.98 million rubles. The dealer manager cautioned that prices can fluctuate. Availability varies by location, with some dealers listing Largus units at 2 million to 2.1 million rubles for cars equipped with additional options. Dealers note a limited supply at each site, which means the model may not be on display in every showroom at once.
In early September, information about the Largus model family’s prices and equipment levels disappeared from Lada’s official website. Previously, the basic station wagon carried a starting price of around 1.3 million rubles, a figure no longer publicly displayed on the site.
At AvtoVAZ, August brought news about the end of Largus production in Tolyatti. The final batch consisted of roughly 650 cars and vehicle kits. Beginning in September, equipment transfer for Largus will move to the Izhevsk facility, where production is planned to resume in 2024. This shift aligns with broader plans to boost output of the updated Lada Vesta at the Togliatti plant, signaling a restructuring aimed at increasing overall manufacturing capacity.
Earlier statements from AvtoVAZ indicated staffing challenges that affected production plans. The company has acknowledged periods of staff shortages as it reorganizes its manufacturing lines and transitions energy toward new or updated models.
