The Samara based company Kviring has begun assembling Lada Turbo, Lada Niva Legend, and Niva Travel vehicles equipped with turbocharger kits. This update comes via the Auto Stream Telegram channel, which reports on the latest enhancements in the local automotive scene.
The modification program targets models powered by a 1.7 liter engine paired with a five speed manual transmission. The turbo kit is installed and tuned to reach a boost pressure of 0.6 bar. The reconfiguration price for a vehicle upgrade is set at 245 thousand rubles. After the upgrade, the engine output increases to 145 horsepower and the peak torque rises to 250 Newton meters, significantly boosting acceleration and overall performance compared with stock configurations.
In their standard factory form, the naturally aspirated engines in the Lada Niva Legend deliver a maximum power of 83 horsepower, while the Niva Travel variant offers about 80 horsepower. The typical maximum torque for these engines sits at 127 Newton meters. The turbo upgrade represents a substantial performance enhancement for these popular off road models, bringing them closer to the capabilities typically demanded by rugged terrain and everyday driving alike.
Earlier reports highlighted concerns about engine specifications in multiple Toyota models, indicating incorrect information had been identified across ten car models. This context underscores the importance of precise engineering data and verified specs when evaluating performance upgrades and aftermarket modifications. [Auto Stream]
