Kalashnikov Concern Unveils Limited Edition Izh Motorcycles for Collectors

The Kalashnikov Concern announced the debut of a limited edition line of motorcycles under the Izh brand, aimed at collectors and enthusiasts of two-wheeled machines. The information came from the company’s press service and signals a renewed focus on heritage models alongside modern concepts.

According to the announcement, the limited series will showcase historical replicas of Izh motorcycles produced at the Izhevsk Machine-Building Plant, now part of the Kalashnikov Concern, spanning the period from 1951 to 1990. The lineup includes an electric Café Racer designed for fast, short-distance rides and a heavy-duty Izh motorcycle developed for the government project named Cortege. In addition, the plan includes new versions of the Pulsar electric motorcycle, expanding the brand’s electric offering.

“If a need arises, the concern will be able to offer effective options for the development of the domestic motorcycle industry and the introduction of advanced solutions in motorcycle construction”, said Alan Lushnikov, head of the Kalashnikov Concern. He stressed that Kalashnikov possesses everything necessary to pursue this path, including extensive experience creating models under the Izh name, a modern production base, and a team of skilled design engineers, technologists, and designers ready to take on ambitious projects.

Earlier statements indicated that electric motorcycles under the Aurus brand—designed to carry signature brand elements—could appear in Russia soon and are currently in testing. These bikes are planned to accompany the presidential limousine and be used for travel at special events, underscoring the integration of high-end automotive and motorcycle development within the broader national program.

In related news, public reports noted an incident involving a wounded suspect and a damaged Renault during the Crocus terrorist attack. This context has been referenced in coverage of security and public safety considerations surrounding high-profile vehicle programs, though the two topics remain distinct in terms of purpose and deployment.
