Jetour, a newer sub-brand under China’s Chery Automobile, is gearing up to enter overseas markets, including Russia and Kazakhstan, according to industry reports. The brand emphasizes travel-ready utility with a name that hints at exploration and discovery.

The Jetour lineup has begun to mature. Unlike its early phase, when Jetour relied on shared powertrains and several components with its parent, the brand is now charting its own path. Plans call for a four-model crossover family, a trio of SUVs, and a line of hybrid vehicles. The market presence already features the Jetour X70 and X90 crossovers, while the Jetour Dasheng (also known as X-1) and Jetour X-2 are positioned for future introductions.

Internal designations for upcoming SUVs remain undetermined. The vehicles are currently identified by project codes T1, T2, and T3, signaling a staged release strategy as development progresses. In parallel, Jetour is committing to electrified mobility, with a broader push toward hybrid and full electric models. While the precise number of hybrids was not disclosed, the brand signals a complete shift toward greener powertrains in the near future.

Investment in the brand’s growth remains substantial. Reports show a capital commitment in the tens of billions of yuan aimed at product development and global promotion. Jetour has already established a footprint in several regions, including South America and Africa, and aims to expand into roughly sixty more markets by the mid-2020s, with continued interest in key territories such as Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, and Kazakhstan on the horizon.

A visual reference for Jetour’s evolution appears in industry imagery from commercial photo providers, underscoring the brand’s ongoing global expansion and model diversification. The broader strategy centers on building a recognizable, value-forward lineup that appeals to family customers and outdoor enthusiasts across diverse regions.
