The initial batches of the Russian GAZ Sadko Next all terrain vehicles, now offered in a two rows configuration with a three door six passenger cabin, have arrived in Australia. The delivery was coordinated by the local distributor, Australian Adventure Vehicles from Brisbane, which has been bringing GAZ Sadko Next trucks to the Australian market since 2021 under the previously used name GAZ Trackmaster.
Until recently, the model was available only in a standard single row double cab configuration. Two six‑seat units were shipped to Australia at the end of December 2021, reaching their destination in March 2022. One truck arrived in a sand color and the other in metallic gray, the latter of which is shown in accompanying imagery.
The two row Trackmaster carries the Crew Cab designation in its title. It sits on an extended chassis, measures 7275 millimeters in overall length (including the winch) and has a wheelbase of 4515 millimeters. The truck has been adapted for left side driving in Australia, featuring right hand drive and control layouts tailored for local conditions. In place of the Russian interface there is an English translated on board computer and explanatory stickers, and the factory multimedia system interface is also localized to English.
Visually the off road vehicle is equipped with universal seven‑inch round headlights and parking lights of the traditional Soviet PF‑130 design. The supplier notes that a single unitized headlamp option is not yet produced for markets with left hand traffic.
Powering the Trackmaster is a 4.4 liter YaMZ‑534 turbo diesel delivering 150 horsepower and 490 Newton meters of torque. It pairs with a five speed manual transmission and a transfer case featuring a locked front axle, a reduction gear, and front and rear differential locks. Ground clearance stands at 315 millimeters, and the basic equipment includes a centralized tire inflation system. The transfer case is controlled from the instrument panel buttons. In the Australian configuration the standard package adds air conditioning, a media system, a snorkel, an auxiliary fuel tank pair totaling 180 liters, a sun visor and a winch. The payload rating for the Sadko Next in the two row cab with factory winch is 1860 kilograms.
Certification confirms that the GAZ Trackmaster meets Australian road safety regulations and the vehicle is approved for public road use. The asking price for the six seater SUV in Australia is 98,500 local dollars, corresponding to about 6,015,000 rubles at current exchange rates. AAV notes that even before the impact of anti‑Russia sanctions it had placed orders for ten new Sadko Next units, with deliveries slotted for 2022.
