Drunk Tractor Driver Stopped Near Homes in Sverdlovsk Region

In the Sverdlovsk region, traffic police officials halted a tractor driver after discovering he had consumed alcohol and had chosen to clear snow around residential buildings. This incident was shared via the Telegram channel of the regional traffic police department.

The event occurred on the afternoon of March 10 in the village of Gorodishche, within the Baykalovsky district. Officers stopped the tractor, checked the driver’s documents, and found that he was already banned from driving while intoxicated and had become drunk again. The regional police explained that the driver admitted to drinking at home before deciding to operate the tractor near homes. At present, authorities are considering initiating criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, according to the traffic police statement.

The repeat offender faces penalties including a fine of up to 300,000 rubles and up to three years of imprisonment. The law also allows for vehicle seizure in such cases. In a separate incident, a man in Vladivostok was detained after a reckless act that involved placing a firearm on the hood of a car and firing in the street.
