Chery has begun selling its new all-electric crossover, the eQ7, in its home market, according to Autohome. The entry price starts at 143,000 yuan, which was about 1.9 million rubles at the time of reporting.
The eQ7 marks a milestone for the brand as the first model built on a fresh aluminum-based architecture. The crossover spans 4675 millimeters in length with a wheelbase of 2830 millimeters. It is offered in five exterior colors: green, blue, black, white, and grey. Standard equipment emphasizes comfort and safety, including a heated steering wheel, a driver fatigue monitoring system, remote engine start, and seats that are heated and ventilated in the front row.
There are two available configurations. The first employs an electric motor producing 211 horsepower, delivering a driving range of 512 kilometers on a full charge. The second variant uses a 183-horsepower motor and provides a maximum range of up to 412 kilometers when fully charged.
Earlier, news from China noted that Changan Qiyuan has started accepting orders for withdrawal of its A07 model, signaling continued activity and expansion within the local electric vehicle segment.
