In St. Petersburg, a traffic stop escalated when a window was shattered after a young woman failed to present a STS document. The incident was shared by the Shot Telegram channel, which published a video showing the woman asking the traffic inspector to step back from the car window.
According to the driver, the traffic officers did not accept the STS form presented as a QR code from Gosuslug. The woman explained that she did not resist the three officers, and she had left the paperwork for her Kia Mohave in a different jacket while waiting for her son to bring it back to the vehicle.
She recalled that one officer clenched his fist and shouted that he would break her hand. Then she and the vehicle were restrained as they pulled herself backward and away from the hood. A small dog that was inside the car appeared to suffer from fear as it slipped from its position.
Two sick dogs were inside the car, trying to flee the scene. The driver added that a friend nearby had helped to transport the animals. Authorities reportedly considered a criminal case against the woman for allegedly inflicting harm on a police representative.
Shot reports that St. Petersburg police labeled the woman as the one at fault for closing the window in front of the officers and for not following lawful instructions from the police.
Earlier reports mentioned a separate incident in Murmansk where a driver, accompanied by a woman, was fined after carrying a mattress through the streets of the city in a car.
