Arkus Aurus Expands as Arsenal Minibus and Electric Motorcycle Move Toward Sale

Artem Yusupov, the head of sales and service at Aurus, indicated that the Arsenal minibus and the Aurus motorcycle are approaching commercial availability. The company plans to begin selling both models in the near future, signaling a broader push into specialized, high-capability transport options.

According to Yusupov, the minibus fits into the current development roadmap and will be particularly compelling in an unarmored configuration. The trend toward mobile offices makes a sturdy, versatile minivan an attractive option for fleets and private buyers alike. The motorcycle, while still a priority for development, is also slated for potential market release in coming years.

FSUE NAMI granted vehicle type approval for the Arsenal van in 2021, though that approval covered only the armored variant at the time. The Arsenal wagon is a sizable vehicle, measuring 5980 millimeters in length with a width of 2020 millimeters and a height of 2090 millimeters. Its wheelbase spans 3550 millimeters and the track width is 1700 millimeters.

The curb weight of the Arsenal van is 4950 kilograms, with a gross vehicle weight rating of 5715 kilograms. It can carry up to eight occupants across four rows of seating, offering a substantial load capacity of 765 kilograms for luggage or equipment.

Mirroring other Aurus models, the van is powered by a NAMI 4.4 liter twin turbocharged V8 engine paired with mild hybrid technology. This powertrain combines with a 9-speed automatic KATE-R932 transmission to deliver 598 horsepower and 880 Newton-meters of torque.

The Aurus motorcycle, which debuted in March 2021, operates as a fully electric machine. It produces 190 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.7 seconds, underscoring the performance-oriented direction of the brand in two-wheeled mobility.
