The recently introduced parallel import scheme has not yet reached its full “design” capacity – there are plenty of problems here. The reorientation of the remaining manufacturers towards Chinese suppliers instead of European ones is also clearly not a matter of a month, but perhaps even a year. The insurance industry is also going through a moment of rather painful transformation. How will OSAGO payments change? Is repair enough?

— In the autumn, the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA) made further changes to the list of prices for car parts. When insurers calculate the cost of OSAGO repairs, they use the information in the directory.
Under the new rules, insurance companies will consider the cost of non-genuine components when calculating losses. Please note that information on the cost of original spare parts will not be included in the guide if the components are not on the car market.
This can lead to problems calculating OSAGO payments. The cost of auto repairs will also fluctuate in the face of a shortage of some auto parts.
Parts for cars of the premium segment increased on average by 50% in price, and consumables – by 10%. With the increased raw material costs, auto parts will only become more expensive.
However, an acute shortage of car parts is not to be expected. Parallel import helped solve the problem with some components missing. Of course, more time is needed to ensure a stable supply, but the situation is gradually improving.
